That’s it. There’s several variations to each of those items but the principal is all the same; take your human voice and convert it into digital 0s and 1s so that (hopefully) thousands of people can listen to it! Hooray!

Our one-on-one mentorship programs are built on our belief that accountability and guidance can have a huge impact on students reaching their goals and developing their musical identities. Our mentors are passionate, experienced musicians with a shared love of personalized learning and artistic curiosity. If you have any questions, feel free to reach out to us at [email protected].

It was at that point the bankers usually went pale and stared at me like I had three heads. I’m exaggerating, but only a little. They asked about job security, something they all uniformly seemed very grave about. I told them I had been doing this for nigh on two decades and didn’t plan on firing myself anytime soon.

“I have taken three courses with Soundfly and have been very impressed by the quality of the course and more importantly, the quality of the feedback. The deep feedback and analysis I get from my mentors has been wonderful. I do not ever recall getting this level of feedback nor support in previous online courses (or live courses for that matter.)”

Here at Soundfly we talk a lot about setting and achieving one’s goals. So it makes a lot of sense that this would be the first and probably most important tip for streamlining your workflow. When you have a clear goal in mind, every decision and every distraction should be questioned. Time simply can’t be managed professionally in recording spaces without a detailed list of goals and priorities.

Learn tons more about hip-hop beat making, production, and history in Soundfly’s new mentored online course, The Art of Hip-Hop Production, and get one-on-one feedback on your work for six weeks with a Soundfly Mentor. What are you waiting for? Preview the course for free here.

The addition of the F# in the Melodic Minor scale, makes things slightly more complex (if that was even needed at this point!). This time, we would have to work out the names comparing the scales to their most similar mode. For example, there is little point in comparing the fourth mode built on A Melodic Minor scale to an Ionian scale. It is much more similar to a Lydian mode, since it comprises of the note F#. The G# at this point, makes it a C Lydian (Augmented fifth).

So today, on World Television Day ’17, we’d like to commemorate 17 of the greatest moments in American-music-television history. Follow us chronologically as we explore the last 50-plus years and rehash some of the best, most awkward, and memorable times music stole the small screen and our hearts in the process.

Another tried-and-true method for promoting your show is to make sure your show’s information appears on local listservs, blogs, and event calendars as soon as the information is confirmed. Don’t sleep on these websites and print publications. They often post about a show weeks before the event, and local editors and writers check them out for potential editorial coverage. You can usually search for event listings and add your info yourself to their websites.
